Description
Education has come to regard supervision of instruction as a necessity. Where supervision exists, it is assumed that instruction is better because of that supervision. If this is not true, the purpose of supervision has not been achieved. In every school or in every classroom one subject must be weaker than the other subjects taught. The logical and practical thing for a supervisor to do is to attempt to strengthen the weak subject, and at the same time not neglect the other subjects. The problem of this study is to determine whether or not more than average gain can be expected in a school's weakest curriculum subject under a specialized supervisory program.
