Paul Stewart (1925-2015) founded the Black American West Museum and Heritage Center in Denver, Colorado. The materials in this collection include interviews Stewart conducted with Black pioneers as well as images and notes he collected related to Colorado's African American history, particularly the Dearfield settlement in Weld County.
